[sheryl] oh fuck... you peeps should see how i look now. i just had a haircut yesterday. and it looks horrible. remember what we said about someone in our course shaving her hair, copying melissa? the hairstylist SHAVED MY HAIR TOO!

and seriously, i HATE it. a bung cut my hair. seriously, i learnt my lesson. never ever ever in a gazillion years get a bung to cut my hair. cause' they will think i'm bung and try to cut something that a bung will like... NO! i dont want! i want my long hair back. no more long sideburns for me to cover my ears with. no more long hair at the back. no more long fringe that i can hold back with with my hairband. gahhhh~ last time got longer hair, already being called a bung/ah-di lar. already lost my "previledges" to go out with my closer girl friends alone. now, all shaved. great man, just great.

i had a nightmare last night. i dont know if this nightmare has anything gotta do with my horrible hair. but anyway, i dreamt of you all. i dreamt that i was the one who had to go for overseas attachment in some ulu country (instead of aussie). but i come back once a week. on the first week i came back, you all started to avoid me alittle. i was asking why, you all said i didnt have time for you girls.

the second time i came back, you all shooed me outta the taitais and got Silver in (silver!? why silver man?!). aiyo.. very sad man my dream. i think it has everything to do with my hair lar. ayee...

Hi dear taitais
This is my 1st entry after so long the taitais blog was set up. im sorry, this was due to laziness and also the virus in my lappy. Im using shahiddy's laptop now, i bought his laptop home :) .

1st clubbing experience (13/4)

Went to ministry of sound with the attachment students because one of them is leaving. Guan heng and i wanted to spend our first clubbing experience with our close friends and not them actually.Not wanting to be the ' shao (3) xing (4) one , we still joined them in the end. (The bouncer did not say my IC was fake!! People always say im underage can!!) Maybe because i wasn't with my click of people, i did not enjoy myself or have fun at all. i stood there while they danced. i can' dance at all. They said i will get high after drinking some alcohol and might be able to dance. I had two glasses of volka orange and NO i didn't get high. The music was so loud , the lighting was a pain to the eyes. Volka, music, lights ----> GIDDY. i hate the crowd there, it was so packed that i had to squeeze and got jam with others when im going home and i placed my arms in front to protect my 'xiong bu' when im squeezing ahaha.
Shahiddy was nice , he came to pick me up :)

i guess clubbing is not my type.

[claud] Work was fun today. Probably bcos ms tio came to look for us. She said she will reach at abt 3.15, so by 3, giap seng n i were already waiting for her at the lobby. And she took cab all the way from np. We went to open the taxi's door for her. Good service ok. Then she had to key in her ic no in exchange for a visitor pass, she has to keep blocking her ic no from us. And we obviously couldn't understand y. After that, we sat at the lobby and chit chat (ok, it's complain). We told her we hv difficulties to stay awake everyday. haha.

Ms tio says she will talk to our supervisors and c what projects they hv in mind our us. So nice of her right? haha. So we brought her to walk ard; show her the canteen, the toilet i always visit, the pantry where we always slack n talk crap and finally, to my office. But my supervisor is as bz as usual, so we went to look for giap seng's office, since his supervisor is known for doing nthing. =X.

While they were talking, we were slacking again, thinking of where to bring ms tio, so we can dragged and slacked all the way till 6. We were eager to know what ms tio told our supervisor, so we brought her to the canteen to chit chat n gossip abt our supervisors. But the main purpose is to make her treat us drink! Advogadro fruit juice each, $1.80 some more. She said overall were good comments, like WELL BEHAVED. My supervisor even said i was punctual, a word u wouldnt use to describe me. lol. But she did commented that our supervisors are a little sensitive though. And they asked her hw often she will be here, probably afraid she will be here too often to harrass them. lol.

She said we are leading a gd life, no stress, can have many many breaks and lastly, still get paid. She told us there is this student from our lt, went to pantry to get smth to eat, got caught and was scolded. The supervisor even called our sch to complain. -_-, it is like over such a small matter. Ok, i should be contented since they give us so much 'freedom'. Talking to ms tio can be real fun, at least i enjoyed talking to her. haha. She left at abt 5 plus, so it's back to work for us, and filing for me. But at least time passed quickly today.

After wrk, i took the company bus to pasir ris. Sitted beside me was this super irritating lady. The company bus is super punctual and will leave by 6.15. At about 6.15, there is this grp of china ppl asking the bus uncle about the destination of the bus, since there are company buses to other places like ang mo kio and jurong east. As the uncle is malay, they had some difficulties communicating. Plus, it was raining heavily. Instead of helping, this lady keep urging the bus uncle to go. Come on and get a life... Shut up if u r not going to offer any help. That few minutes wouldnt make much of a difference. Not like she's rushing off to save somebody. Even if she is, those few minutes wouldnt save any1. Duh, cant stand her, she's getting on my nerves.

Ok, whatever it is, it's none of my business.

[taBs] Day 1(2nd April’ 06 Sunday):

Hi there my dearest taitais…

I didn’t get the chance to use the internet at the church today, so thought I shall blog and write in words first so as soon as I get the internet connection all setup and done, I will post this up. J

Wat a day it has been. I think at the airport it was kinda embarrassing to cry. So kanasai. muahaha but dunno why the tears just came rolling down my cheeks. I tired ti hold them back, but I guess it didn’t work. Claud and meizhen both of you were the first to cry is it?? Cause I thought I heard some of you saying…”don’t start kinda thing” well well, really thanks for coming and the gloves as well as the chemical warmer thingy. How thoughtful of you all!!! *hugs and kisses-muackzz* haha time passes really fast. I’m like in Adelaide already! I can’t believe it. The plane reached Adelaide at about 8 but then they had to do some quarantine check thingy so delayed for a while. Just sat in the plane.. rot rot rot. I found out that Singaporeans aren’t the onli kiasu ones. Many of the the other non-singaporeans on board the plane were worse. Haha because once the plane landed and the safety belt sign went off, almost everybody about 7/9 of the passengers stood up quickly, grab their stuff and started walking towards the doors. Wahah as I have said earlier, there was a quarantine check the stewardess told everyone to go back to their seats. Hahaha so dumb they stood there for a very long time, when you could have been like me sit down and falling asleep. Haha didn’t really get to sleep onboard the plane. Oh yar the movies onboard were not too bad they had memoirs of a geisha, rumour has it, cheaper by a dozen 2…etc. I expected them to have like really old old shows. The supper was yummy, I had some cold pasta with ham as appetizer, braised chicken with mashed potatoes for the ‘main course’, some peach pudding/cake thingy yummy. Cheese and butter with crackers and bread. Alcoholic drinks were being served tooo. I WAS A GOOD GIRL!!! I DIDN’T’ TAKE ANY. =)

The customs took some time too. Making sure you declare and all. It went on smoothly. Hui Wei went under things to declare, they took away her 3 in 1 coffee cause they was milk. Haha super strict. Anyway, after that her friend met us at the Adelaide international airport and took us to get our pre-paid cards. I have an aussie number now!!! It’s 0432145390. I meet this girl in church and her number had 665555 something like that. Hahaha if onli I had that. Haha kidding lah. Huiwei’s friend dropped us at the church. the temp when we arrived was about 12 degrees. Nice but it got kinda cold when we were in the car and he didn’t on the aircon and the freezing wind was making my face numb haha. And his car was so tiny my luggage couldn’t get in!! It took my place in the car and 4 of us had to squeeze in that tiny car… goodness it was mad. The church is huge!!! And nice!!! The pastor was already there waiting for us. He’s Korean. Really nice person. The people there at that time, students, helped us carry our Xtra heavy bags to our rooms… not too bad, 2 beds cupboard dresser mirror the toilet is just opposite. And in this whole big church onli the pastor, his wife, and 2 sons stay here. So now add huiwei and I. the people in church were all friendly and easy to talk to helping us to call back home using their accounts and providing us with food, the lunch was FANTASTIC buffet, plus all homemade… so delicious I tell you. I found out that some of the teens here knows my cousin or was from the same church back in Singapore. So it wasn’t too bad, if I needed help in anyway they were all very willing to help. Got those bus ticket also.. they have 171 here and it goes to the city also!! Haha well, thank God they are so nice, they offered to help us find a place, get a bank, and see the uni tmr. So glad they could guide us. Or else I wouldn’t know wat to do. *phew*

We had a great yummy pizza and kfc dinner. It was at the church persons house, he lives just opposite the church. The house is super! Very cosy. Huiwei was able to talk with the grandmother as she was also from kuching. Well, as it grew darker it became COLDER!!! We were like freezing when we got out of the house. They were laughing at us, saying that we should be enjoying the weather cause when you get back to Singapore you are going to suffer. Oh no… this sounds bad. Haha okay then guess I shall end here. [taBs] Day 2 (3rd April’06 Monday)

Hey guys…

2nd Day here. Went to the Uni just to see see. It’s HUGE and nice. Very castle like looks magnificent. Today we set off in search of a place to stay. It’s really kinda tough you see loads of different kinds of houses. Some of which were really cool and beautiful. Wow wanna stay there, but then again, those nice ones are expensive while the cheaper ones had contracts and other problems to it. Man if onli the church have wireless. Then I will stay here!!! The rooms are big enough. The pastor and his wife are so generous, feeding us, we had homemade yummilicious chicken rice. It was heavenly. So far I spent $5 today for lunch which includes drinks. Haha one of my church friends marion, brought us around city and shopping places where we can go, cheap places to get food as well as bringing us from one place to another. There’s this place in Rundell mall where all the shopping is (something like orchard rd), there’s this 2 ball statue and they call it the mall’s balls. So funny I couldn’t stop laughing esp everytime I walk pass it… wahha and there are 3 pigs rummaging through garbage. Haha so cute ah…. they are statues by the way. I will take pictures and post it here. Once I get my place with wireless internet and all you will see me online more often. That’s why I’m writing here at the moment. I read some of the stuff on the blog … I wanna cry already, *sob sob* miss you guys soooooo much I tell you. You don’t know what it’s like here without you guys to make me laugh all day. I’ve got like loads of things to tell you all!!! Argh… maybe one of these days I will call back. See how. Haha oh dear I’m like dead tired and school starts tmr… dunno whether to be excited or worried. Hiaz… there’s soooo many things I want to tell you all and it’s very difficult to write down all my thoughts this totally sucks, I need the wireless!!! Okay I’m going to bathe now write in here soon. [tAbS] Day 3 (4th April’06 Tuesday)

HowDy mates… hahaha today was our first day to school!!! It looks nice from the ouside but the rooms and all inside are kinda old and run down. Haha I guess ‘looks can be deceiving’ wahaha well, I didn’t do much today at school. We just had to sign some forms do those safety questionnaire and then some stuff officer brought us around and told us where to get our library cards use the internet and all those stuff. Everything took about 2hours. Haha, all supervisors were not around. Dr Yung is like in oxford will onli be back on 16/04 then the other supervisor, they couldn’t contact him that’s why we ended so early. How nice ah…wat a first day.

After that we continued house hunting. Haha today was soooo SOOOO soooo SOOOO much better. The landlady, the house décor, the feeling when you step into the house was all GOOD and fantastic!!!! We more or less have decided to stay there. =) yeah I can be online more often now.. wooohoooo~ have to see how it goes. I took pics with the malls balls as well as the pigs and some fountain. Haha did a bit of shopping. But then again some of the stuff there are quite ex. So sad. =( thought it could be a nice shopping spree. The food here are all very ex!!! $6 - $7 plus minus for food like maybe a bowl of noodles some sandwich. MADDNESS I tell you. I guess it’s because the portions are very large. 2 people can share kind. Man I’m so scared I think I’m going to start growing. CANNOT CANNOT I don’t want to roll out of Changi Airport!!! All my hard work for the last 2 weeks all gone to waste haha. Today I will be having roast duck rice for dinner. Goodness it’s like $8!!!! But it looks good. Big portions too. Oh yes she can you do me a nice favour pretty-please…and start another blog for me. I want a personal one. Heehee. Hiyo, how have you guys been??? Enjoying yourselves at work? meeting up?? Laughing till your stomachs?? Haha all thanks to tan and her silly ways. Haha so crap I really miss all those “laughing moment” they are really the best. It’s like 6:05pm think about 4:43pm back home in Singapore. All still at work cannot talk to you all. We have to set a time and maybe days where we can all conference. That will be the BEST!!!! Esp when all of us have webcam we can take turns.. wahaha this sounds really stupid. Hehehe. Okay I shall go have my duck rice now will post this up later. =)

well, finally everything is done! Visa approved now can go already. man i tell you the feeling is really weird, like happy that it's done and i can go already don't need to wait anymore. Another is leaving everybody for 5 months!!! *sobs* that is super darn long, no mummy and daddy goodness it's seriously going to be an experience. thank God there is such thing as a webcam!! at least that would help.

as you can see from the title i'm pissed and angry!!! YOu know what, i was suppose to work in SCHOOL for the last few weeks! i didnt' know all this till i asked Mr Kyle about the email of my supervisor over there in Adelaide,need to ask some stuff. Since he went to ask Madam Tan and Dr Lim for the email, they were wondering why am i still here and not there. Then he said i was suppose to be in school working, doing admin stuff, like help him in some funny moderation thingy dunno lah will onli know about it tmr. What made me wanna scream was that i would fail my attachment, since i was not doing anything the past few weeks. i tell you i was about to burst into tears man. Totally SHOCKED!!! then i explained to him that all along i was arranging stuff with joel and he even told me to SLACK, wth. so kanasai ah... anyway, he told me that i have to go back to school the next 2 days, thursday and friday, to do admin work. cheap labour ... do all the dirty stuff, somemore i got no subsidy. This is OUTRAGIOUS!!! and it's from 9- 6, worse then you all. sigh. wah lao if i knew have to go back, i wouldn't be leading a taitai life, plus after i come back from Adelaide must work for the school for an extra 2-3 weeks. Super angry lah!!! i alrady made plans to meet up with my friends and all, now i have to cancel all of them. ARGH... this is soooo freaking shitty! heck lah i guess that's life!

went back to school to collect all my stuff. finally all settled. now just hope they can process the visa smoothly. i saw uncle tang in school. guess wat he is back from his holiday in perth and i'm still here. haha so funny. he was kinda shocked, he was wondering how come i'm still here and not overseas. haha. hiYO, i walked so much i tell you, from LSCT blk ALL the WAY to the track there just to collect my insurance thingy. I think everybody knows joel as the slacker, cause the women in charge of the overseas attachment (Mrs choo) was like "complaining" in a way. she told her colleague, ".. see lah this joel, his student is still here when she suppose to start on the 13th march... " haha i was laughing when she said that. she's really nice she start talking to me, telling me all about Adelaide, and she showed me her son so cute and round. haha oh yea, i brought sam along and they thought she was hui wei. haha when i told them she was my sister they were like staring at both of us to see if there was any resemblance. their comments was kinda hilarious, they were saying, we look the same onli that i'm the bigger size and all. they asked me why i eat all her food. haha so cute ah.

anyway, you guys enjoy yourselves this sat, if you are going to meet up. soooooo very sorry i cannot make it. need family outing also. okay then you guys take care and spend your precious time wisely.

anyway, i just to apply for the visa. hiyo, this joel ah, wrote "University of QUEENSLAND" dunno whether they will see the mistake. haha so blurr ah. The ambassy was kinda strict, must hand in IC and phone if it has a cam. but the people there were kinda nice, the man was reading the nomination letter then he spotted the commencement date, he was like ''16 march... now it's already 21st march..'' haha then the women next to him told him to put it under urgent so that we could leave asap. haha so most likely will get it by end of the month. oh yar, i like the rotating doors at the entrance so fun, if there weren't any sercurity guard there i would have gone a few more rounds. hehe. as usual there were some stuff that i didn't have like the letter of invitaion from the uni and my birth cert and some travel insurance. As least i dont' have to go back there, just send by fax okay liao *phew* if not ah... i'll go mad muahaha.

Went for the medical check up too, one of the medical centre wah show us attitude, so angry you know. all they know how to say was "pls wait, we will attend to you later...."and then they ignore us, wait very very long, i was so fed up i told hui wei to go to another place to do. sit there waste my time, argh! if i knew they had such bad service would have gone to the paragon one. so irritating. Anyway, i called up the one at paragon.. so so so much better, should give GEMS to them haha. I had to pee in a cup twice though!!! the first time they say got white blood cells need to pee again. =/ check eye sight, blood pressure, press my tummy... the doctor super pro she was fast. Then went for x-ray. felt like a chicken quite an experience too. but now got a big hole in the pocket, $90.75 for the checkup. so sad... the visa cost $240!!! maddness.

oh yar, i got bad news i cannot go out with you guys on saturday. will be going to malaysia on thursday till sat i think. Sunday i'm free, I can go out after my church.

[Ryl] - let's see... i didnt have enough sleep last night and had to wake up super early this morning. i had to walk an extra distance since the Jurong whatever-Complex was closed and by the time i reached the mrt station, i was quite tired already. just as i finished crossing the island, i looked up to see...

FEL ANG... grinning at me! lol. it was a nice surprise. we didnt chat for long though cause' her bus came about 5 minutes after that. which was a real pity. this coincidence maciam extracted from some manga or idol drama. hahaha

anyway, after fel ang, i saw ronnie tan chor chew also. we talked and i realised his company was rather good to him. they get to have their own tables (and cubicles) with their own computers. SO GOOD! i also want sia! i dont even have a proper locker, dammit. if i have my own cubicle, i will decorate it with loadsa photos and my favorite stars~ hahaha -day dreams-

ok, so. today is the end of the second day. i've already made the OCM team laugh afew times. i'm rather proud of myself. the better thing is, we got Macdonald's for lunch today. wooo... mcspicy double. people on the island wont get this kinda treatment easily unless they got transport. ok, so i've learnt more things again today. though the stuff i'm doing are very basic, but still i'm pretty worn out by the time i reach home. i cant imagine my life in these few months. it's so gonna be no life. aish.

[claud] i think i cannot survive the 6 mths of attachment. day 1 is already tat bad. i was made to sit thru this presentation, or course they call it. omg. it was bad. the ppt lasted from 10.30am to 6pm. a total of 124+151=275 slides!! tell me hw to survive thru that, esp when they r talking in ''foreign language'' abt compressors, evaporators and so on......i almost fell asleep on several occasions, hopefully the speaker didnt c it.

that's nt all! i m like the only female wrking tat dept. the speaker even had to refer us as, gentlemen and LADY.

and tat supervisor of mine, he cant even be bothered with me lar, just ignored me the whole time. but i could tell he was bz. but shld he at least pay some attention to me? it's my first dae there.

right, noticed today's sunday already? how time flies. tomorrow will be the first day of work for all of us (except for ms taitai TABS). i'm already beginning to feel alittle nervous. so far, i've only met the HR Personnel at the main office. she is dammmmmn pretty. at least it made my trip to tanjong pagar worthwhile. hehe. i'm hoping she will be as nice as the rest of the people at the lab.

WE WENT ROLLAR BLADING @ EAST COAST PARK!!!

anyway, we were kinda wobbly in the beginning but it was okay after a while =).

The minute we reached there was CHIONG to the drinks stall to get our SUGARCANE wif LEMON. the stall owner looked like mr cheong. haha oh yes, as we looked for our teddy bear chicken wing....it was such a DISAPPOINTMENT!!! teddy bear chicken wing was CLOSED!!!! all the way there and it nothing, so shitty!!! buT, we still indulged ourselves with FOOD...

we had, carrot cake both black and white (claud and fel), indian rojak (tan), roti john (tab), 8 peices of chicken satay and 8 huge cups of ice cold sugarcane wif lemon. *FULL*

haha all in all it was fun! but without the rest it wasn't the same... next time must go out together again!!! this time we will make it to teddy bear chicken wing on our own. =)

haha, anyway, i am gonna post something that happened quite a while ago, and that is the outing to my house :D
See, we had quite a fun time, the majong in my cosy room, but the highlight was the quest of retriving back the majong tiles! muahaha, there was hanger and tan's thin thin leg. Tab was the commander (see, NCC is useful) and ryl is the photographer, she takes good pictures, so i want to share. Claud and i, well, we provide the laughter :D But hey! i did provide directions in the beginning, till i cant hold back the laughter. :X

[Ryl] - few weeks ago, i was so looking forward to attachment. so i can earn my own money and buy my own stuff, and thus not having to put up with some people's threats to cut my line or anything of that sort.

today really shattered my hopes of doing that. i got a really fucked up job at this attachment company. firstly, it's at jurong island. it's goddamn far and inconvenient. the worse is my pay is only a meager $420 only. my working hours are like 0830-1730 and i even have to work on (every alternate) saturdays. OTs are required also. according to Mdm Tan (my lecturer in-charge or liaison officer) said that we have to be careful because our jobscope is soul-y on labwork and the company has damn high standards for safety. as if the above arent enough, i'm having to work with this guy who is so damn smart at making use of people. havent even start work and he's tried to bluff his way through today. hurray~

you know what's better? the fact that there are friends who are gonna work in Exxon and they are getting $400 per graveyard shift when they are paid $500. so, let's say i work one shift every week. the sums are done like this:

(4 x $400) + $500 = $2100

for an attachment student ok?! like what the hell. our starting pay is even lower than that. some of them are even getting a payrise of $50. that's fucking better than nothing if you ask me. $420 is like the minimum and they are expecting so much from attachment students. dream on.

i'm starting work next monday. such a downer. so anyway, getting my dream phone now will have to be pushed back a month or so. i'm freaking upset man. lousy job with a lousy pay and a lousy location. BAH!

anyway, taitais together with minghui and joohuang went out just now. we had lunch at pepper lunch, which was damn yummy and then we slacked there. it was so hard for me to open that topic. ok yea, so it wasnt just a topic. it was more of an interrogation i admit. haha but it was damn funny. though it has nothing to do with me, i had an increased heart rate. you should have seen that scene. we were so noisy. XD

after that we walked around, and took loadsa neoprints. wheee~ it's DAMN fun. i wanna take more photos again. more and more and more and more and more. i love it man. it can be great exercise also. we perspired alot. show u some of the nice photos we've taken..
